Just so I'm clear on this: the price of computer memory has tripled because a bunch of memory that hasn't yet been manufactured has been pre-ordered so it can be used in GPUs that aren't yet installed in data centers that haven't been built yet in order to supply a demand that doesn't exist so the companies can earn profits that won't happen. AI is so dumb.

Origin notes

The image is a screenshot of a user-generated post from the platform 9Gag, originally titled 'The bubble must burst!'. The post appears to be a critique of the AI industry's speculative practices, presented in a sarcastic tone typical of social media rants. The layout suggests it may have been originally posted on Twitter/X (now X) due to the design of engagement buttons (likes, comments, shares) and user profile display.
