1999 Korn Carving in Wet Cement Remains Intact When Poster Returns to Hometown
Text content
Went back to my home town today where I wrote Korn into wet cement back in 1999. It’s still there.
Overview
This image is a screenshot of a public post from Reddit's r/numetal community. The post author shares a nostalgic personal anecdote: they recently returned to their hometown and discovered that the word 'Korn' (referencing the iconic 1990s nu metal band of the same name) that they carved into wet sidewalk cement in 1999 is still clearly visible decades later. The attached photograph shows a grey concrete sidewalk next to a tree planted in a curb ring filled with dry fallen leaves, with the faded hand-carved 'Korn' marking easily identifiable on the concrete at the bottom of the frame.
