The Password: Time Perception Chip Comic

Text content
The life you're living right now is a dream for many people.
Overview
This is a vertical multi-panel webcomic followed by a closing message segment. The comic opens with a male gunman holding a young boy hostage, pointing a gun at the boy and demanding a woman give him the password or he will shoot the child. The woman explains she implanted a chip in her son's brain that alters his perception of time: if a fatal projectile hits him, the chip will activate in his final moments and simulate an entire lifetime of perfect, unbroken happiness for him, free of hardship, struggle, or suffering. When the gunman argues this simulated lifetime is not real, the woman counters that it is a perfect existence free of all pain. The gunman then threatens to shoot the woman instead, only for her to reveal she also has the same chip implanted. The gunman, surprised, asks if he can get one of the chips for himself, at which point the woman shoots him. The scene cuts to the boy happily hugging his mother, thanking her for saving him and telling her he loves her. The woman then realizes the boy was also hit by the shot she fired at the gunman, as he has no blood on him and is not crying, and the boy confirms he is perfectly happy with no pain. The comic closes with the Truth Potato mascot, a simple cartoon potato character, paired with the message: 'The life you're living right now is a dream for many people.'
